The Tree of Life - The Most Sacred Geometry Symbol

The Tree of Life is one of the most familiar of the Sacred Geometry Symbols. The structure of the Tree of Life is connected to the sacred teachings of the Jewish Kabbalah but can be seen in other traditions such as the ancient Egyptian. The Tree of Life is explained in Sefer Yetzira ("Book of Creation"). The book explained the creation as a process involving the 10 divine numbers (sefirot) of God the Creator and the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Sacred geometry embodies the notion that all of nature is organized geometrically. What is energy? An object with energy is a three-dimensional object in motion: either spinning, moving through space or both. All space has the bizarre property of having an electromagnetic shimmering at subatomic distances creating a constant "white noise" sound that can be heard between stations on any FM radio. THE "TRUTH" BEHIND CROP CIRCLES - Ever since the first one was sighted in the 1960s, crop circles have held the fascination and curiosity of the public.  Almost always, the appearance of new crop circles gets attention from the media, the scientific community and New Age believers.  Crop circles even became the subject of many fictional works, most notably the M. Night Shyamalan movie Signs, which starred Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix.

Man-made or Something Paranormal in Nature?

Nearly everyone is aware that a crop circle is a pattern of circles and other geometric figures created by flattening a field of crop such as rapeseed, rye, wheat, corn or barley.  The first crop circles were comprised of simple circles, but the designs have grown more complex ever since, with some patterns following a highly complicated triple Julia set and even the semblance of being three-dimensional.  Many crop circles have taken the form of patterns studied in sacred geometry.

But no matter how simple or complex a crop circle pattern is, the underlying question is this: Are crop circles man-made, the result of freakish weather, or something paranormal in nature?

The Roots of the Crop Circle Phenomenon

There exist records of the crop circle phenomenon occurring in England as early as the 1880s.  These early records have attributed crop circles to strange storms that left circular patches in fields of grain.

Not a lot has been said about crop circles until nearly a hundred years later.  And then, in the 1960s, sightings were reported once more, and this time, crop circles gained more prominence, at least in the media.  There were numerous occurrences of this phenomenon all across the globe, not just in England, but also in Canada, Australia, Japan, China and Russia.  These crop circles were formed notably near what are considered to be ancient holy ground.  Most of these crop circle patterns were found in Southern England, particularly in Wiltshire County.

Upon the prevalent appearances of these crop circles, various theories on how they came to be surfaced.  Many held up that crop circles are products of freak weather conditions, such as mini-tornadoes.  Some believed that crop circles were created by aliens on disc-shaped UFOs.

The mysticism behind crop circles was ultimately shattered when two men from Southampton, England by the name of Doug Bower and Dave Chorley came forward and claimed that the crop circles that appeared on the fields of Wiltshire County were mostly their doing.  They worked in the dead of the night using rope, planking and other readily available materials to create crop circles.

The Debate on Crop Circles Continues

After Bower and Chorley admitted that many recorded instances of crop circles appearing on the fields of Wiltshire were their creation, it was discovered later that 80% of recorded crop circles were man-made.  This, however, does not explain the 20% of documented crop circles who did not have any traces of being created by human hands.

This portion of unexplainable crop circles has led many scientists and paranormal scholars to believe that there is another reason behind crop circles.  The challenge of finding out the truth behind crop circles eventually resulted in the creation of cereology as a separate area of study focusing on crop circles.

Famous Crop Circles

Below is a rundown of some of the famous crop circles created since the 1960s.
* The solar system formation, found in Longwood Warren, Hampshire, UK.  This formation is interesting because it held a semblance to the planets of the inner solar system, with the obvious absence of the planet Earth.
* The dumbbell formation, first found in Chilcomb Farm in UK.  Formed in 1990, this was said to be the earliest of the dumbbell formations, where two circles were connected by a line and flanked with two rectangles at each side.
* The Barbury Castle tetrahedron.  Barbury Castle is a Neolithic fort in the United Kingdom.  The tetrahedron that appeared in the fields near it in 1991 was considered significant because it depicted one of the sacred hermetic symbols, the symbol of the Trinity.

THE KABBALAH - The Kabbalah (also known as kabala, cabala) means in Hebrew "reception" in the meaning of "received tradition" and indeed the term historically referred to all Judaism's oral law such as the words of the ancient prophets from the bible. Over time, many of the teachings were recorded and put available to all. The esoteric teachings though, remained something that is past on from rabbi to student. This was because of the relative interpretive freedom taken by kabbalistic scholars, and the heresies they might lead to, and so the teachings of the Kabbalah remained something that is restricted to a selected few. In our days, even the esoteric teachings have been put to record but the name remained.

The Basic Concepts in the Kabbalah:

In the basis of the Kabbalistic thought lays the Mekubal's (a Kabbalah mystic) will to mystically and consciously unite with god, narrowing the gap between him, and the material world he lives in, and the divine. The mekubal perceives the entire material reality and the phenomenons in it as god's revelations in our world. He espiers to reveal the godly being in everything and every form and by doing so, to rise spiritually, return his soul to her godly roots and to be one with god. The Kabbalah differentiates between god's hidden aspects which no creature can comprehend and god's revelations, usually referred to as the Ten Sephiroth (or "emanations") which are the ways in which god delegates his actions and through which he created the world.  The Sephiroth make up the structure known as the Tree of life.

The Sephiroth are different and some are even in contrast to each other. It is common to divide them to three 'branches' being right, left and middle or, accordingly ­ grace, judgment and mercy. There is great tension in this system due to the opposite powers and the mekubal tries to create compromise and harmony, bringing every thing to the middle. Uniting the line of grace, the male, with the line of judgment, the female should bring positive influences and vitality to the world.

The Historical Development of the Kabbalah

Jewish mysticism has existed since biblical days and is said to begin with the secret god told Adam in the Garden of Eden. In the bible we can read many stories of miracles such as Jacob's dream of the ladder to heaven, Moses' burning bush, the parting of the red sea, the prophet Ezekiel's visions and many more. In spite of this, researchers tend to differ between the early esoteric teachings and the actual Kabbalah being the esoteric Jewish teachings dating back to late 12th century and early 13th century in the south of France and in northern Spain.   

The Bahir book (the Book of Brightness) appeared in the south of France in the year 1180 and is the first book of the Kabbalah. It is attributed to the scholars of the Mishnah and it contains ideas and sermons from the Hekhalot and the Merkaba literature. The Bahir also uses statements from Sefer Yetzirah (The book of creation) explaining the process of the creation led by god. It also speaks of the use of the Sacred Names in magic.  At the same period, independently, the esoteric teachings of the Ashkenaz Hasidim rose. Though there are many differences between those teachings and those of the mekubalim, we can see many similarities both in the use of early Jewish mysticism as reference, the idea of keeping the teachings a secret and the formation of small study groups.

The Kabbalah rapidly spread to other regions in Spain, mostly due to the spread of literature and the migration of scholars. One of them was Rabbi Yitzhak Saggi Nehor (said to have written the Bahir book) who moved to Gerona, forming a group of scholars that played a major role in developing the theories of the Kabbalah and its literature. The esoteric teachings of the Kabbalah were soon widely accepted and kabbalistic elements started appearing in Halacha and biblical interpretation texts.

The Book of Zohar

In 1280 appeared the first issues of the central book of the Kabbalah, the book of Zohar, believed to be written by Rabbi Simeon bar Yohai. The book of Zohar only gained its great effect after the trauma of the Alhambra Decree (deporting the Jews from Spain) having given an emphasis to the people's need for redemption. The Zohar became even more known and sacred in the 16th century after having been printed. This effect climaxed in the kabbalistic teachings in the city of Safed, that many of its new mystical ideas were inspired by the interpretations in the Zohar. The Zohar became the primary source for the esoteric teachings, standing aside the Bible and the Talmud, though it raised many objections that continue to our days.

Safed as the Center of Kabbalah

In 1530 Safed became the center of the Kabbalah, notably bringing its wisdom to the public rather than keeping it a secret. Many study groups and learning circles were formed, including amongst them common people as well as known mekubalim such as the RAMAK ­ Rabbi Moshe Cordevero. They used to study the Kabbalah, make amendments and fall on graves of the righteous thus achieving mystical experiences and witnessing divine revelations. The Ramak was one of the great Kabbalah mystics and he was described as having "a very intensive religious thought and a great power of explanation to be the leading systematical theologies of the Kabbalah". He was inherited by his student, Rabbi Isaac Luria (also known as "He-Ari" = the lion) though their interpretations of the Kabbalah were different. Though the Ramak's work was widely known and he himself was highly respected, The Ari and his teachings quickly took the lead in the esoteric teachings and the Kabbalah. This was probably because of the centrality of the concepts of exile and redemption in the Ari's system giving an answer to the people's needs after the deportation from Spain. The Ari's system continued spreading in Jewish communities in Europe and northern Africa inspiring as well new movements such as the Hasidut and the Shabtaut.

The Christian Kabbalah

In the end of the 15th century, in the early days of renascence, Christian scholars began to take interest in the teachings of the Kabbalah and some of the writings were translated to Latin. The scholars saw a resemblance between a few elements in the Kabbalah and basic Christian beliefs and sought out to found those beliefs on the Kabbalah.  This movement attempted in missionary activity, trying to convince Jews to convert to Christianity by proving its authenticity based on the Kabbalah and the Zohar. The use of the Kabbalah and the Zohar in Christianity, and later in the Shabtaut which was consider heretic, brought many Jewish scholars to go against the teaching and spreading of the esoteric teachings as far as openly objecting it.

The Kabbalah in Our Days

As part of the rise in popularity of religion and mysticism, the Kabbalah gains new interest world wide, with Jews and non-Jews alike. Its followers can be found in different socio-economic groups and its influence has recently grown among celebrities, the most renowned example of which is the singer Madonna, adding the Hebrew name "Esther" to her own. The singer, as many others, is a student in of the Kabbalah Centre, now the biggest institution for Kabbalah teaching with over 50 branches world wide.

Most orthodox rabbis object the use of the Kabbalah by this institution and others a like, have claimed it superficial, populist and some have even banned it. Many of the Kabbalah researchers in the world have expressed a similar opinion stating that the Kabbalah centre teaches "new age" theories and not actual Kabbalah. "There is no connection between the new age practices and the kabbalistic ideasŠ If the Ari were to rise in the 21st century and see someone meditating, allegedly according to his ideas, he would have gotten a heart attack from the shock and died for the second time" says Dr. Boaz Hoss from the Ben-Gurion University in Israel.

HAMSA - The Hamsa (also known as Khamsa) is a hand shaped amulet used for protection by both Jewish and Muslim people. Its name comes from a Semitic root and literally means "five". The Hamsa is usually shaped in the form of a symmetrical hand, with thumbs on both side, and not in the anatomically correct way. Though it is widely used by both Jewish and Muslim people, its origins pre-dates both religions and is attributed to the goddess Tanit who was a Phoenician lunar goddess, worshiped as the patron goddess at Carthage.

Islamic Hamsa

In Islam, the Hamsa is also known as "The hand of Fatima", after the Prophet Mohammad's only daughter, who's also related to many miracles such as rain making. The story tells that one day Fatima was busy stirring a pot when her husband Ali came into the house with a new wife he had just married (Muslim men are allowed to marry 4 wives). Struck by grief and sorrow, Fatima let the ladle slip from her hand and continued stirring with her own hand, not noticing the pain. Her hand has since become a symbol for patience and faith. The Hamsa is also said to symbolize the five pillars or tenets of Islam.

Judaic Hamsa

In Judaism, The Hamsa is also known as "YAD HA'CHAMESH" (The hand of five) or "The hand of Miriam" after the sister of Moses and Aaron. It is also connected to five books of the Torah.

Hamsa for Protection

The Hamsa is used to ward of the evil eye and can be found on the entrances of homes, in cars, on charm bracelets and chains and more. It is also common to place other symbols in the middle of the Hamsa that are believed to help against the evil eye such as fish, eyes and the Star of David. The color blue, or more specifically light blue, is also considered protective against the evil eye and we could see many Hamsas in that color or with embedded gemstones in different shades of blue.  In Jewish use, Hamsas are often decorated with prayers of a protective fashion such as the Sh'ma Prayer, the Birkat HaBayit (Blessing for the Home), or the Tefilat HaDerech (Traveler's Prayer).

NAUTILUS SHELL - Nautilus ­ Living Fossil

The Nautilus (in Greek 'sailor') has survived relatively unchanged for 450 million years and is one of the only shells to survive from the Dinosaurs era. This is why the Nautilus is sometimes referred to as a "living fossil". The Nautilus is a nocturnal creature and spends most of its time in the great depths of the ocean. The Nautilus shell, lined with mother-of-pearl, grows into increasingly larger chambers throughout its life and so has become a symbol for expansion and renewal.

Nautilus Shell and Phi

Dating back to Hindu myth, the Nautilus Shell was mentioned as a symbol of many things in the creation. It is also a symbol for the inner beauty of nature. The Nautilus shell is one of the known shapes that represent the golden mean number. The golden mean number is also known as PHI - 1.6180339... The PHI is a number without an arithmetic solution, the digits simply continue for eternity without repeating themselves. The uniqueness of the golden mean is that it can be found in all living forms such as the human skeleton, the shell and the sunflowers seeds order. Plato called this value - "The key for the universe physics".

The Golden Mean number is widely used in art, architecture and religious symbols. Artists like Da Vinci and Kandinsky have used the golden mean in their paintings. The Guggenheim museum, planned by Frank Lloyd Wright, is shaped like the shell. Researchers found that humans will consider beautiful an art work, architecture and even a face that have the golden mean proportions.

Phi (Golden Mean) - "The Key to the Physics of the Cosmos" (Plato)

Phi is a constant value which is even more mysterious and profound in its implications than pi. Like pi, phi is a number with no arithmetical solution. The decimals just keep on going into infinity without ever repeating themselves. The unique thing about this number is that it can be found incorporated in all known organic structures. From the bone structure of human beings to the seed pattern of a sunflower to the spiral of a sea shell, the phi proportion is there, underlying all biological structures, seeming to be a geometrical blueprint for life itself. While it cannot be worked out arithmetically, Phi can be easily obtained with a compass and straightedge.

Finding the Golden Mean

Two simple ways of finding the Golden Section geometrically are as follows:

Method one: If you take two equal squares, side by side, (a 1x2 rectangle), divide one of the squares in half, and with a compass, swing the diagonal down to the base of the other square, the point where the diagonal touches the base will be phi, or 1.6180339+, in relation to the side of the square, which is 1 (This formula also describes exactly the rectangular floor of the King's Chamber).

Method two: The other method of determining the Golden Section is by dividing a line segment, AB, at a point C, in such a way that the whole line is longer than the first part in the same proportion as the first part being longer than the remainder. AB/AC = AC/CB = 1.6180339 (notice the fractal and holographic nature of this ratio...).

Golden Mean in Architecture

The phi ratio is found in the architecture of the Great Pyramid in the triangle formed by the height, half-base, and the apothem, or diagonal. In other words, the basic cross - section of the structure demonstrates the Golden Section. If the half - base is given a value of 1, this gives the value of phi for the apothem, and the square root of phi for the height. The Golden Section shows up again and again in Giza and in much more baffling and tedious ways (Entire volumes have been written on the geometries involved in the pyramids construction).

The Personal creation shape appeared in the year 1991 in Wessex, England, in a wheat field. On the morning of July 11 the at the foot of a Neolithic hill fort named Barbury Castle lay an enormous design, some 12,000 sq. yards in area. The Gordian knot can be made on a Torus tube which looks like a donut or a sphere that turns in from one side and comes out the other in a perpetual motion. The Torus Tube contains many mathematical formulas and equations. Science began using this model as a geometric\mathematical model of the universe.    

Sacred geometry made extensive use of this shape (Sacred geometry is an ancient teaching that stressed the one force or consciousness behind existence, through the laws of geometry). Even the human embryo has a Torus shape during its first stages of existence.

Alexander the Great and the Gordian Knot

The Gordian knot is associated in legend with Alexander the Great: The knot was made by Gordias. It was further prophesied by an oracle that the one to untie the knot would become the king of Asia. In 333 BC, Alexander attempted to untie the knot. When he could find no end to the knot, he sliced it in half with a stroke of his sword (the so-called "Alexandrian solution").

The Gordian Knot and the Idea of Unity

According to ancient teachings, in the beginning there was a great void. This void is the creator, with no body, shape or definition. The Creation requires a definition of space and direction. The Torus tube provides this kind of definition by using the inside, the outside, and infinity. It can be used as a philosophical model of creation itself. The Gordian knot is the simplest of all Torus knots. The shape represents the idea of the ONE GOD and the holy trinity relation which comes from the ONE and exists in everything (positive, negative and neutral).

The word ONE ("ECHAD" in Hebrew) and the word LOVE ("AHAVA in Hebrew), has a numerological value of 13. The number 13 contains the one and the three.

AGE OF AQUARIOUS - What is the Age of Aquarius?

The Age of Aquarius simply means that we are leaving the age of Pisces and entering into the Age of Aquarius. This change in the Age happens every two thousand years - the last one coincided with the arrival of Christ. Alternative medicine, astrology, vegetarianism and other subjects previously considered weird are growing rapidly in popularity, and are all subjects associated with the sign of Aquarius.

These subjects will become more and more commonplace. Astrology and other mystical methods of self understanding will help people to become more in tune with their spiritual selves. People are already beginning to look within for the answers they seek, instead of outwards to money, possessions and other people.

This Golden Age is destined to synthesize all religious regimes and free the minds of ignorance and delusion. Each human being will begin his or her individual journey within, and strive to become the new race of super conscious humans awakening seekers of Truth and the eternal Spirit, healing peoples of many tongues and nations in the process.

Age of Aquarius and the Kabbalah

The holy book of the Zohar says: "All the celestial treasures and the hidden riddles that have not been solved for generations will be discovered in the Age of Aquarius". There are symbols that reveal hidden knowledge from the forgotten ages, knowledge that the Zohar spoke of and the cabalists hinted at. This knowledge reveals the basic essence of people and nature. The nature of this knowledge is essentially geometric and millions of people all over the world have been drawn to it in the past few years.

"You need to engrave very deeply within your mind and know that there is no reality without the blessed one. He is within every single movement in the world. The nature, (HATEVA in Hebrew) has the same numerological value as the word God (ELOHIM in Hebrew). The blessed one wore the nature clothes inanimate, vegetable, living, speaking" (Rabbi Nachman from Braslev)

The Kabala says that The Creator and the Nature are the same and brings the same numerological equivalents (in Hebrew), HATEVA=86 and ELOHIM=86.  For thousands of years, humans have lived in a state of chaos, hatred, fear, diseases and destruction all of which are caused by duality.

Symbols from the Age of Aquarius

From the time that man ate from the tree of knowledge, he has not been able to see the existence of the ONE that stands behind all things.  Some symbols show through geometry and mathematics, the existence of the one creator that exists within everything. The Kabbalah speaks of the Tree of Life, as the key to the entire universe and all the dimensions of creation.  In these symbols, one can see the embodiment of the creator in all things.

The cycle of creation is also embodied in the Tree of Life, and the rest of the geometrical patterns that are spread all over the world which give us the cosmic "D.N.A".

The Seed of Life, Flower of Life and Fruit of Life patterns have existed in Judaism for many generations and can be found in ancient synagogues and ancient prayer books; although their significance has been forgotten through the years.

As we enter the Age of Aquarius, forgotten knowledge rises up again showing us the secret of creation. Rabbi Yehuda Alay who was a friend of Rabbi Shimeon Bar Yochai the author of The Zohar said: "When all the nations in the world will accept the Kingdom of God, we also will return to his kingdom as it is written - When God is king over all the earth, on that day God will be One and his name One"

Sacred Geometry and the Age of Aquarius

Sacred Geometry exists beyond religion, belief or nationality. It unites us all in the belief of the One. By understanding the concept of the One, each of us can take control over our own lives and break free of the circle of chaos in the material world, which Judaism calls 'the world of lies'.

Kreat shema - ONE God or God is ONE?

The holy Ari (Rabbi Yitzhak Lorie) was said to have descended from the world of unification. Jews all over the world say the "Kreat shema" every day: "Hear o Israel, the Lord is our God, our Lord is one". Before his passing, Jacob called his sons to him, and asked them to swear that they will continue to believe in the one God. Since then Jacob's descendants call to him, reminding him that they did not forget their oath "Hear o Israel (Israel is Jacob's second name that was given to him by the angel) the Lord is our God, the Lord is one".  When this is said they close their eyes, why?  This is because we live in an illusory world, a separated world, and by closing our eyes we can separate ourselves for a little while from the illusory world and connect with the One!

SEED OF LIFE - Seed of Life Creation - Symbol of Creation and Fertility

The Seed of Life is a symbol for the seven days of creation.

The first step was the creation of the Octahedron. The next step was to spin the shape on its axes. In this way a sphere is formed (see diagram 7). Bear in mind that the creator's consciousness exists within the Sphere, and the only thing that really exists is the membrane of the sphere itself.  

The next thing the creator's consciousness did was to go to the outside surface of the sphere, (the old testament refers to "the spirit of the Creator floating upon the face of the waters") and creating another using the same process of creating an octahedron and turning it into a sphere. By creating the second sphere the Almighty actually created light. In projecting another converted octahedron into a sphere on the surface of the first sphere, you will get the image of two circles crossing each other in their centers, a shape known as Vesica Pisces (diagram 7a). This pattern is a geometrical formula which represents the electromagnetic spectrum of light (for further information how this can be done, check out Drunvalo Melchizedek's book "The Ancient Secret of The Flower of Life Vol.2") and the first thing that God created was light - "Let there be light".

In continuing to duplicate the spheres and creating further Vesica Pisces you will see many aspects of creation driven out of the geometrical structures, emerging out from the vortex motion by this continuous creation of more Vesica Pisces. The continuation of the creation process can be seen in diagrams 7b to 7f.

Note that here the seven day creation process ends. The Seed of Life is fully formed on the "SHABBAT", the day of rest. The first vortex is completed and the seed which contains the blue print of the universe is fully formed.

Seed of Life is the Origin of All

The Seed of Life is a stage before the shape known as the Flower of Life which produces the "Fruit of Life". The Fruit of life is the blueprint of the universe; it contains every atom, molecular structure, life form and eventually everything in existence. Therefore, all things existing can be built from the shape of the seed of life.

Seed of Life in all Major Religions

In the 13th Century, a Cabalist's group from France succeeded, through geometric interpretation, to divide the entire Hebrew alphabet in its correct order using the Seed of Life. The resulting alphabet was in fact remarkably similar to that of the Religious sage Rashi who wrote his commentaries on the Old Testament at that time in France. The Seed of Life is used in all religions and can be seen in many original sites e.g. Synagogues, churches, Kabbalah prayer books, and of course, the ancient Osirian temple in Abydos Egypt, the source of all the major religions and mystical studies.

Seed of Life Pendant

The Seed of Life Pendant is a symbol of blessing and protection passed through generations; it contains the secret of the seven days of the creation. It can be worn as a symbol of blessing and fertility.

FLOWER OF LIFE - Symbol of all Major Religions - Sacred Geometry Pattern of the Universe

The Most Sacred Geometry Symbol

The "Flower of Life" can be found in all major religions of the world. In Egypt, the source of all the monotheistic religions, the "Flower of Life" can be found in the ancient Temple of Abydos. In Israel it can be found in ancient synagogues in the Galilee and in Mesada. The "Flower of Life" contains the patterns of creation as they emerged from the "Great Void". Everything is made from the Creator's thought.

Flower of life Creation

After the creation of the Seed of Life (See the article about the seed of life) the same vortex's motion was continued, creating the next structure known as the Egg of Life (diagram 8). In three dimensional forms it looks like diagram 4. This structure forms the basis for music, as the distances between the spheres is identical to the distances between the tones and the half tones in music.

It is also identical to the cellular structure of the third embryonic division (The first cell divides into two cells, then to four cells then to eight).  Thus this same structure as it is further developed, creates the human body and all of the energy systems including the ones used to create the Merkaba. If we continue creating more and more spheres we will end up with the structure shown in diagram 8a. This structure is called the Flower of Life.

Fruit of Life Inside the flower of Life

The flower of life holds a secret symbol created by drawing 13 circles out of the Flower of Life as shown in diagram 8b. By doing this, one can discover the most important and sacred pattern in the universe. This is the source of all that exists; it's called the Fruit of Life. It contains 13 informational systems. Each one explains another aspect of reality. Thus these systems are able to give us access to everything ranging from the human body to the galaxies. In the first system, for example, it's possible to create any molecular structure and any living cellular structure that exists in the universe. In short every living creature.

Platonic Solids

By connecting all the middle points of the 13 circles to each other, one gets the pattern shown in diagram 8c. This is known as the Metatron Cube. Inside it are five three- dimensional shapes known as the Platonic Solids. These five shapes and all their combinations create all the possible structures in the universe, such as the embryonic cell division existing in every living creature.

This is only the first informational system within the "Fruit of Life", which is derived from the Flower of Life. The Ancient Egyptians used to hide this way of producing the "Fruit of Life" from the "Flower of Life" by drawing the "Flower of Life" without some of its outer circles and drawing two circles around the inner circles. This is similar to the inner and outer membranes of the ovum surrounding the embryonic cells.

King Akhenaton Flower of Life

The special qualities within the Flower of Life were taught in Egypt in the 18th Dynasty, during the reign of King Akhenaton. He established three schools of mysticism:

The Right Eye of Horus

Dedicated to the left (masculine) side of the brain. This side controls logic, calculation as well as the ability to understand geometry and spatial relations. Its aim was to prove the existence of one spirit that exists everywhere and in everything.

The Left Eye of Horus

Dedicated to the right (feminine) side of the brain (emotion and sensitivity side).

The Middle Eye of Horus

Dedicated to life itself.

The Egyptians were aware of dimensions and referred to a higher level of existence called "The Fourth Dimension", known as the "after life". The aim of the schools was to reinstate the knowledge of the "One true force - the almighty" that exists everywhere and in everything. This knowledge which came from the advanced Atlantean race was lost 13,000 years ago with the destruction of Atlantis. This loss resulted in "good and evil", duality consciousness.

King Akhenaton, as a messenger of the ascended masters, reintroduced monotheism to his subjects whom, due to the long passage of time had forgotten this Atlantean knowledge. The Egyptian idols were only symbols of the one true God, the "Neter Neteru", that which is beyond definition. Egyptian mythology was transformed into a form of symbolic calculus, by which the sages interpreted the evolution of spiritual states and psychic landscapes. Her religious teachings promoted unity and monotheism but it was never defined beyond the simplistic "Neter Neteru". This Pharaoh's death left behind a legacy that was the source of all the modern monotheistic religions.

TREE OF LIFE - The Most Sacred Geometry Symbol

The Tree of Life is one of the most familiar of the Sacred Geometry Symbols. The structure of the Tree of Life is connected to the sacred teachings of the Jewish Kabbalah but can be seen 3,000 years earlier in Egypt. It is possible to see the Tree of Life structure in many places around the conscious universe. The structure is represented in nature and relates to the Flower of Life.

The Tree of Life and Seed of Life are products of the same likeness; it is simply the centers of the circles of the Flower of Life and the Seed of Life (See diagram 3).

The Kabbalah Tree of Life is a representation of the thirty-two paths comprised of the ten sefirot and the twenty-two paths through which they run. The Tree of Life describes the descent of the divine into the manifest world, and methods by which the divine union may be attained in this life. It can be viewed as a map of the human psyche, and of the workings of creation, both manifest and not. It is important to realize that the pure nature of divinity is unity, and that the seemingly separate aspects or emanations exist only in view of the emanated, living in a state of illusory separation.

The names and numbers of the ten sefirot are given in order below.
1 - Kether (Crown) or Kether Elyon (Supreme Crown)
2 - Chokmah (Wisdom)
3 - Binah (Understanding or Intelligence)
4 - Chesed (Mercy or Grace) or Gedullah (Greatness)
5 - Geburah (Severity or Power), Din (Judgement) or Pahad (Fear)
6 - Tifereth (Beauty) or Rahamim (Mercy)
7 - Netsach (Victory or Constancy)
8 - Hod (Glory or Majesty)
9 - Yesod (Foundation) or Tsedek (Justice)
10 - Malkuth (Kingdom) or Shekhinah (Divine Immanence)  

Tree of Life and the Struggle Between Light and Darkness

To help us understand the importance of the Tree of Life, a story can be told that characterizes the struggle between light and darkness: On the light side the archangel Michael and on the dark side Satan, who abandoned the creator to create a different reality of his own (if you reverse the name SATAN in the Hebrew language you will get the word natash which means-abandoned in Hebrew). Satan (also known as LUCIFER which means THE BRIGHT AND SHINING ONE since he was the most magnificent and brilliant angle ever created), was aware of all the secrets of the creation and the Flower of Life. The first thing he did was to take the construction of the Egg of Life and spin it into a different point of view or perception instead of the star tetrahedron point of view, which can be derived from this shape (check out our explanation about the Flower of Life). This procedure changed our perception of reality. Satan repeated the process of creation out of the great void but instead of copying the actions of the creator, he changed the process of creation out of the great void. Instead of repeating God's creation and creating the seed of life structure, and creating one sphere at a time in a vortex motion, he divided spirit into two; creating two centers (See diagram 2-2C). In this way there are two centers instead of one.

LIGHT and DARKNESS

There is no vortex motion of creating one sphere at a time; instead there is only a duplication process just like cell division only without a certain order or shape. Unlike GOD'S creation which can be seen in the embryo cell division, which provides perfect shapes during the cellular mitosis through the different stages of development. This is the difference between LIGHT and DARKNESS. Light is order, the cosmic laws of creation, while darkness is chaos and death.

Illusion Reality

This action created reality that is separated from that of the creator. This version of reality is an illusion. It is a reality where unity is unseen between that which exists and all that happens, thus experiencing reality as good and evil. Therefore one does not feel real love just the use of the intellect.

Tree of life vs. Tree of Knowledge

In the Bible there is a description of the Tree of Knowledge (Satan's creation) and the Tree of Life (God's original reality). "The Tree of Life is in the garden and the Tree of Knowledge good and evil". If one tries to draw the Tree of Life upon Satan's dual Flower of Life he will find it impossible as there is no compatibility between them.

Tree of Life Pendant

The pendant of the Tree of Life forms the key to God's original creation. The pendant's size itself fits exactly to the size of the Seed of Life and the Flower of Life, and can be used as a sign of unity and love as each structure together creates a perfect match. The Tree of Life symbolizes the true existence of God's creation, the only reality to enable the fulfillment of ones destiny and true potential.

MERKABA MEDITATION - The Source of this Merkaba Meditation

"Meditate on the symbols I give thee. Keys are they, though hidden from men."

This meditation came to me three years ago during a Merkaba meditation session. The story of the meditation came about with an enigma that is connected to Sefer Yetzira, to the Merkaba meditation or the kabalistic seven gates meditation, the Sefer Hazohar by Rabbi Shimeon bar Yochai, and the jewelry that I design.

Unconditional Love

The meditation itself is an excellent tool for any kind of manifestation both spiritual and physical. When you start this meditation you have to keep in mind that the true nature of creation is unconditional love (I have separated myself from myself so that I will be able to love myself). Do not try to use this meditation in order to gain something for yourself alone. Remember all is one and everything is in its own perfection inside the whole.

So Let's Begin...

Start with a meditation (I use the Merkaba meditation) and let your thoughts dissolve and disappear. Then place yourself in an empty endless void. Now place your wish or goal in this void and turn it into a bright shining white Spark in the endless void, creating an axis from this spark-up and down. The next step is to create another axis at the same length as the first one, this time create it from the middle of the first axis, where the first spark is and pull it backward and forward. The next step is to create another axis from the middle to the left and to the right, and then connect all the end points of the axis to each other.

The structure you'll create is an octahedron, a double pyramid. If you know Sacred Geometry, then you are probably familiar with the five Platonic solids. These five elements are the basic foundation for every structure in existence. One of them, the Octahedron (the double pyramid) is the basic foundation for the three dimensions.

The next step is to rotate the octahedron on each one of the axis. This will turn the octahedron to a sphere. At this point, in order to bring our idea to life we will repeat the process of the embryo cell division. Keep in mind that the secret of creation is the one who separated itself from itself. Everything beyond this false reality is one, however this one separated itself into a multitude of beings, therefore creation always starts with division.  That is the reason the first chapter of genesis starts with the Hebrew letter "Beit" which equals 2.

So the next thing we will do is to divide the sphere into two spheres, in two dimensions it will be the Vesica Pisces, the two circles crossing each other in the middle, the symbol of the first day of creation and the symbol of light. The next step is to divide these two cells to four; place three spheres at the base and one at the top so that you will create a tetrahedron, the four-facets structure that symbolizes the four faces of God.

The next division (the third) will create the eight cells structure of the Egg of Life.

If you will connect all the middle points of the spheres you will get a three dimensional Star of David. This eight cell structure contains the secrets of the musical scales which are the keys to the different dimensions. This structure contains the infinite potential of every living creature.

At this point there is a perfect balance of both masculine and feminine forces that is the point of balance. It is also connected to the structure of the Cube octahedron which contains all the five Platonic structures.

From this point all you have to is to multiply the 8 to 16 (just focus on the numbers), the 16 to 32 ,the 32 to 64,the 64 to 128,the 128 to 256 and the 256 to 512.

Every multi cell living creature starts to wear its own unique form. Now say the Hebrew word "Chai", alive, and know, feel and believe that your thoughts taken here are already formed in the higher planes of existence.

Sacred Geometry

I used this after I studied sacred geometry, and to my surprise I found out the next description of the beginning of creation from the Ancient kabala book "Sefer Hayetzira" (the Book of Creation):

"He (God) selected three letters from among the simple ones and sealed them and formed them into a Great Name,
I H V, and with this He sealed the universe in six directions.
Fifth; He looked above, and sealed the Height with I H V.
Sixth; He looked below, and sealed the Depth with I V H.
Seventh; He looked forward, and sealed the East with H I V.
Eighth; He looked backward, and sealed the West with H V I.
Ninth; He looked to the right, and sealed the South with V I H.
Tenth; He looked to the left, and sealed the North with V H I.
Behold! From the Ten ineffable Sephiroth do, proceed the One Spirit of the Gods of the living, Air, Water, Fire; and also Height, Depth, East, West, South and North".

Merkaba Meditation and the Cosmic Language

Here are some interested things that I've discovered. At one point when I came up to the end of the meditation I saw the Hebrew letters "Reish", "Sheen", "Beit" and "Yood". At first I didn't get it, but a short calculation brought up the number 512. The name Rashbi is the name of Rabi Shimeon Bar Yochai who is considered to be the author of the "Zohar". When I checked it out I've found a quote from an ancient kabalistic book from the 11th century which is called "The writings Of the Temples and The Merkaba". It deals with the higher planes of existence and "The Seven Palaces" with the different guardian angels standing on each gate and so on. On the seventh palace the traveler will see the four Serafim with the four faces lion, bull, eagle and man. Then he will see 64 faces, 128 eyes and 256 wings before he will watch the throne of God.

If you will look and count the steps you've just made in the meditation from the four cells or the tetrahedron point you will see that it takes seven steps to go to 512!

Cosmic Language

The book goes on and says that if the traveler's soul is pure enough he will enter the seventh gate and stand before the throne. What I've discovered is that the meditation opened a path to a flow of knowledge that appears as a cosmic language, that can be found in symbols and "hints" in the everyday aspects of life. Two months later, I have created the Genesa Crystal pendant.

Merkaba from the Biblical Prophet

Now this whole theme describes the Vision of The Merkaba from the biblical prophet Yehezkel and the structure of the cube octahedron represents the "Ofanim", the wheels within wheels that create the Merkaba.

MERKABA - A Powerful Tool for Healing and Self Balance

What is Merkaba?

In order to explain what the Merkaba is, we must first generally explain the flow of energy and energy fields that surround the human body. The first definition refers to the Prana or Chi - This is the Life force. This unseen energy exists everywhere in the universe in great quantities. Prana enters the body through the top of our head (this is the reason there is a hole in the skull of unborn embryos). The major Prana flow runs through the center of our body looking like a tube. From there it flows into eight main centers known as Chakras. This is an Indian Sanskrit word meaning "turning wheel", due to the look of these complex energy flows. According to the early Egyptians there are thirteen chakras as they relate to different energy centers.

From the "Chakras" we have branched energetic lines (meridians) that reach every cell in our body. We have a Prana field that surrounds our body as a result of the meridians and the Prana flow. Then there is the field of the aura. The auric field is an egg shaped energy field that surrounds our body and change its color according to our thoughts, feelings and emotions. After the auric field we have hundreds of electromagnetic fields. These fields have precise geometrical shapes. Each one of them is made up of three identical fields with the same size and shape.

The Prana fields is the star tetrahedron, a three dimensional Star of David. A person is able to rotate two of the three star tetrahedron fields in opposite directions by using the ancient Prana breathing technique, thus creating a huge 17 meter energy field - our light body, the Merkaba.

Merkaba for Healing and Balance

The varieties of benefits of using the Merkaba are greatly varied: It is a most powerful healing and protection tool. By utilizing the ancient Prana breathing technique, we are able to restore the Prana flow through the pineal gland at the center of our brain. This revived use of our gland, which has been virtually dormant for 13,000 years allows the heightened use of our telepathic and extra sensory perception abilities.

The Merkaba balances and revives the activities between the two sides of our brain. Such training strengthens our sensitivities and mental abilities, (at this time we use only 5-10% of our brain). The Merkaba assists us in our spiritual growth .It connects us with our higher self (i.e. ourselves on a higher level of consciousness).

The Merkaba enables us to feel unconditional love thus healing ourselves as well as others. It gives us the possibility of creating any kind of harmonious reality we desire. The Merkaba can be "programmed" to do anything (the only drawback being our own belief and imagination). The Merkaba is also a tool that can be used to transcend into other dimensions. Revived studies and practices of the Merkaba are emerging all over the world after so many years of being suppressed from different sources, including the Old Testament, Kabala and even the traditional Tarot cards.  

The Merkaba pendant is a powerful symbol and reminder to those wearing it of the power of the Merkaba and its special healing and protective characteristics.

DUNE - Frank Herbert - Book of Dune

In the book "Dune" the author Frank Herbert, describes the rise of the Messiah 8000 years from now. Herbert, who studied among other subjects ecology, psychology and eastern philosophies, created a reliable world that describes in minute detail the rise of "qwitzat haderach" - the messiah (qfitzat haderech is an ancient kabalistic term that describes the ability to be in two places at once). The whole book is interwoven with wisdom that can serve the enlightened reader in his personal growth.

The process and change that the books' hero, Paul Atreides, goes through is in fact a process of enlightenment and divine consciousness, and the recognition of our higher self that exists within us all.

One of the lines in the book is: "That which submits rules". This short sentence holds the secret of true human enlightenment. All the cosmic forms are creative expressions of one force. All the mystical traditions say that one can experience cosmic unity through various exercises, by which the practitioner gradually eliminates his false identity (self) and his connection to the material world. In the end, the practitioner is able to fully experience the whole cosmos every single moment. When this is achieved the higher self is awakened.

The conscious person understands and experiences cosmic perfection in everything and what results is true awareness of all the processes and occurrences within the universe.  He remains totally uncritical of anything. He who awakens to unified cosmos has powers, vision and wisdom that are far greater than the average person who is still identifying with the illusion and the false "self".

Kwizatz Haderach

The hero of the book, Paul Muad dib serves as an example of a new kind of human being, who is transformed and unites his consciousness with the greater cosmic purpose. This transformation is achieved when the hero drinks the "Water of life". The author describes the hero as the "Kwizatz Haderach" a man who is able to look beyond the masculine and feminine limitations and aspects of creation. To seek unity with the "One" and to look beyond the process of creation itself to within the great void. The term "Kwizatz Haderach" was taken from the kabalistic term "qfitzat haderech" - meaning a "short cut" or the ability to be at different places at the same time.

Is Dune a Prophetic Novel?

In depth reading of the book raises the question: is Dune a prophetic novel? The book was written in the early 1960s. The book is dedicated to: "Those whose actions differ from the realm of ideas to the kingdom of solid reality. To the ecologists of the desert plains, whoever they may be, in each generation, to them I dedicate this experiment in predicting the future with humility and admiration".

At the writing of this book, the two main superpowers of the world were the U.S.S.R and the U.S.A.  Frank Herbert focused on the future and saw the rising power of the Jihad and Islamic extremism taking over the civilized world.  The book is full of Muslim terms. The hero of the book is called the "Mahdi"- the Muslim Messiah.

An Interesting Similarity to the Present Time (2004)

The defeated Caesar is called "Shaddam". The world in which the battle takes place is called "Arrakis". The battle is for the control of the "Spice m'lange". Now just change the name "Shaddam" to "Saddam", "Arrakis" to "Iraq" and the "Spice M'lange" to "oil". The most surprising element is a new young Shi'ite leader in Iraq whose followers call the "Mahdi"Š.

Dune Ring

Dune ring engraving - That which submits rules - The Dune ring is engraved with the Hebrew translation of the sentence "He who surrenders rules". In Judaism, there is a story in the ancient Gemmara where the Creator showed Moses at the time he received the Ten Commandments the future time. He showed him a man called Rabbi Akiva who will be given the secret of the "Tagim" (the small lines that appear above the Hebrew letters in the Torah Scrolls).  When Moses saw the modesty of Rabbi Akiva, he told the Creator that he should give the commandments to Rabbi Akiva. The Creator's answer was "keep silent - rise within the thought". The Gemmara explains that the word "keep silent" doesn't mean in ancient Hebrew - "shut up!" rather "cancel yourself". In other words the Creator tells Moses to transcend himself so that he can ascent and understand the Cosmic Thought.

Dune Ring Elements

The hawk that appears in the center of the Dune ring is the symbol of the House of Atreides, from whom the "Qwitzat Haderach" is derived. The hawk represents the higher self who sees the entire big picture and symbolizes the understanding of the "cosmic thought".

The green emerald stones on the blackened Dune ring's surface, symbolize the black and green flag of the House of Atreides, while the green emerald also symbolizes the heart center and compassion.

The Arabic writing on the Dune ring is a variation of the Arabic nickname of Paul Atreides "lisan il gayeb" meaning "The language of the one who came".

The Hebrew letters style of the engraving "hanichna hoo hasholet" "That which submits rules", were taken from the Dead Sea scrolls.

Dune Pendant

The meaning of the Hebrew words written on the pendant is "from the waters shall come all life". The design of the Dune pendant is inspired by the water jewelry worn by native people of the desert planet Arrakis.

The Dune pendant is a small vessel sealed with water. I have personally conducted my own experiments based upon the principles of sacred geometry and the Book of "Zohar", where through concentrated meditation I have been able to change the quality, taste and vibration of the water.

The wearer may experience an initial short term reaction to this higher energy vibration until he or she becomes accustomed to wearing the Dune pendant. The pendant conveys water's molecular secret that is common to so many of the world's religious beliefs. The pendant holds within it the cosmic secret inherent in the triangular molecular composition of water, which is the key to all life in the universe.

Herbert states in his book that water is the key to all life in the cosmos and because of its great value it was worn as a precious jewel by the native people of Dune -The Fremen.

VESICA PISCES - The shape of the Vesica Pisces is derived from the intersection of two circles, the Pythagorean "measure of the fish" that was a mystical symbol of the intersection of the world of the divine with the world of matter and the beginning of creation. The Vesica Pisces is used in a wide range of symbolism:

1. The joining of God and Goddess
2. A symbol for Jesus Christ
3. The vagina of the female goddess
4. The basic motif in the Flower of Life
5. An overlay of the Tree of Life
6. A geometrical description of square roots and harmonic proportions

Vesica Pisces Pendant

The Vesica Pisces pendant is a description of the Cherubim which were set upon the Ark of the Covenant. The Cherubim are holding the Vesica Pisces. On one side of the pendant appears the Hebrew word "Tohu Va Vohu" and on the other side "eheye asher eheye".

"TOHU VA VOHU" - Movement then Rest

Let's take the first line of the book of Genesis: "Bereshit bara elohim et hashamaim veet haaretz vehaaretz haita tohu va vohu vechoshech al pney tehom"  - which means - "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep."

The old testament states that in the beginning, God created the earth and the sky and that the earth was "TOHU VA VOHU" (darkness upon the void). The Hebrew word "TOHU VA VOHU" was seen by most people as chaos, a lack of any order. However, it is written that the land was darkness upon the void. In other words, an empty space, a void, nothingness - and nothingness cannot be in a state of disorder! The solution to the meaning of the word is hidden in the word itself and its sound. Repeat the word "TOHU VA VOHU" - it's a sound that repeats itself - "movement then rest". When we start to examine what matter is made of we get to molecules and then to atoms. Atoms are composed of particles moving around each other at great speed. When scientists searched for what these particles are made of they found various wave lengths (frequencies).

Movement and Rest - a Vibration

The simplest way to understand a vibration is to imagine constantly repeating "movement" and "rest". The human ear can hear 30 to 16000 vibrations ("movement" and "rest") per second. In fact, everything is made of frequencies, even the "matter" we previously mentioned.

The first letters of "Tohu Va Vohu" creates the Hebrew word "TAV" - a musical note. These letters also create the initials of "TENOOAA VEMENOOCHA" (Movement and rest translation to Hebrew).

"Vayomer" - And God Said

Another interesting thing that I've discovered is that the remaining letters that are the gap between the "Tav" and the "Vav" create the number 12 which is the number of notes in the musical scale, while the word "Tav" creates the 13th number which is the great void between the different harmonies. Therefore, all that exists including our self is made from frequency. That is the reason that God speaks (creates a sound) during the creation process, "Vayomer" - "God said". That is the reason we call the things that surround us "Dvarim" meaning "things", from the Hebrew word "deebur" meaning to speak, and the word "dvarim" which means "things that were spoken".

God's Name

The next hint concerning "who or what I am?" comes from the story of Moses who walked in the desert where he saw the burning bush. In those days people believed that a person's name reflected his nature - and Moses who wanted to know the true nature of the One God, asked his name and God answered "eheye asher eheye" - the true translation of this sentence is "I am becoming what I am becoming". Moses totally understood God's answer but because he knew that the children of Israel would not understand the depth of God's answer he asked - "when the children of Israel will ask me for the name of the God that sent me what should I tell them?" God answered Moses and said - tell them that "eheye" sent you!

God's answers have also been distorted over time and their significance have been changed and forgotten. God simply said to Moses: my name is "I am becoming what I am becoming" tell the children of Israel - "that which will become" sent you. The traditional English translation distorted the original true meaning of the Hebrew writing because it was translated incorrectly to "I am that I am". Now, since you are surrounded by "things" what is the only thing in creation that is certain? The answer is CHANGE. Nothing stays in the same state forever. "The only thing that is constant in life is change". Everything that exists changes and is in motion. If the frequency that governs all will stop then all that exists would disappear and creation would stop.

The God or the force that created all does not have a name. He is a frequency that is constantly evolving and changing therefore he is "becoming" and has no form or definition. The meanings of one of God's Hebrew "names" - "YEHOVA" can be translated as I AM BECOMING or I AM IN A "BECOMING" PROCESS - TAKING A FORM.

God is Within Us All

The jewelry that we create symbolizes the geometric patterns that are created by the various wave lengths of the one frequency. This frequency also wears your image - you are God in a specific level of development. Throughout history there were individuals who came to the realization that they are God. Some were crucified, tortured and persecuted. Those who come from the darkness hide the truth or hid nature from man for their own power, because when man finds the One within himself there is no longer a need for external teachers or guidance.

The cosmic joke is that many religious people have no belief at all in the existence of God because they believe in the external (superficial) and thereby take all responsibility for their own lives off themselves.

All is one leads to unconditional love because YOU ARE GOD AND THEREFORE ALL THE ANSWERS AND THE UNDERSTANDING ARE TO BE FOUND WITHIN YOURSELF. That is the reason for the concept of "unconditional love" - when we hate someone we hate ourselves because all - everything and everyone is the one God.

People who do spiritual activities and connect themselves consciously to the one frequency will often experience other individuals' thoughts and emotions or perhaps if they are enlightened, they will experience the entire universe when their individual artificial consciousness merges with the One.

The World of Lies - Maya

The old testament forbids the practice of external "channeling" and foretelling the future (which are very common among the "new age people"). The reason for this is that the person who looks for external answers "betrays" the true God within. That is one of the reasons the external world is called in ancient Aramaic in Judaism "ALMA DE SHIKRA" - THE WORLD OF LIES and "Maya" which means "illusion" in the Hindu tradition.

GOLDEN SPIRAL SHAPE - Symbol of Harmony and Beauty

The Golden Spiral structure represents two well known sacred geometry shapes: the golden mean (phi) spiral and the Fibonacci spiral. It is a based on a crop circle shape known as the "Hackpen Hill Formation" and it appeared in an English wheat field in 1999.

The World of Lies - Maya

Phi (Golden Mean) - "The Key to the Physics of the Cosmos" (plato) Phi is a constant value which is even more mysterious and profound in its implications than pi. Like pi, phi is a number with no arithmetical solution. The decimals just keep on going into infinity without ever repeating themselves. The unique thing about this number is that it can be found incorporated in all known organic structures. From the bone structure of human beings to the seed pattern of a sunflower to the spiral of a sea shell, the phi proportion is there, underlying all biological structures, seeming to be a geometrical blueprint for life itself. Plato went so far as to call the phi ratio the "key to the physics of the cosmos". Phi is calculated at 1.6180339+..., and while it cannot be worked out arithmetically, it can be easily obtained with a compass and straightedge.

Finding the Golden Mean

Two simple ways of finding the Golden Section geometrically are as follows: Method one If you take two equal squares, side by side, (a 1x2 rectangle), divide one of the squares in half, and with a compass, swing the diagonal down to the base of the other square, the point where the diagonal touches the base will be phi, or 1.6180339+, in relation to the side of the square, which is 1 (This formula also describes exactly the rectangular floor of the King's Chamber). Method two The other method of determining the Golden Section is by dividing a line segment, AB, at a point C, in such a way that the whole line is longer than the first part in the same proportion as the first part being longer than the remainder. AB/AC = AC/CB = 1.6180339 (notice the fractal and holographic nature of this ratio...).

Golden Mean in Architecture

The phi ratio is found in the architecture of the Great Pyramid in the triangle formed by the height, half-base, and the apothem, or diagonal. In other words, the basic cross - section of the structure demonstrates the Golden Section. If the half - base is given a value of 1, this gives the value of phi for the apothem, and the square root of phi for the height. The Golden Section shows up again and again in Giza and in much more baffling and tedious ways (Entire volumes have been written on the geometries involved in the pyramids construction).

Fibonacci Sequence and the Golden Spiral

There is a number sequence, known as the Fibonacci sequence, which bears a special relationship to phi, and to the pyramids at Giza. First postulated by the medieval mathematician Leonardo Fibonacci, this sequence was used to describe the growth patterns of plants. It goes: 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55,89,144,233, etc. It is made by adding the last two numbers of the sequence to get the next one, as in: 1+1=2, 1+2=3, 2+3=5, 3+5=8, 5+8=13, etc. 

This sequence's relationship to phi is that if you divide one term of the sequence into the next one, the result begins to quickly approach the transcendental number 1.6180339+... (I won't make you do the math. Just watch...) 1/1=1 2\1=2 3\2=1.5 5\3=1.66 13/8=1.625 21/13=1.615 34\21=1.619 55\34=1.617 89\55=1.6181 The further you go down the sequence, the closer you get to phi. Of course, you can never actually get to it exactly, since it has no mathematical solution, it just keeps getting closer and closer, to infinity.

The sequence can be graphed out in the form of a spiral, called the Fibonacci Spiral. This spiral is almost identical to the graph of the logarithmic spiral of the phi ratio, known as the Golden Mean Spiral (The difference is that the Fibonacci spiral is a whole number interpretation of the arithmetically impossible Golden Mean spiral, which has no beginning or end. The Fibonacci spiral has a definite beginning).

Fibonacci Spiral and the Pyramids of Giza

Aerial photographs show that the pyramids at Giza are positioned in such a way that they fall on a line which accurately defines a Fibonacci spiral. The spiral passes exactly through the centers of each pyramid.

Mobius Ring - a Ring with only One Facet

The Mobius ring is the actualization of number of major spiritual ideas that are well established in sacred geometry. To make a Mobius strip, take a paper page and cut it into a strip (24cm height, 4cm width for the sake of convenience). Now give one of the two ends half a twist and then reattach the two ends. This way you will create a Mobius strip. The Mobius ring has only one side. To see it clearly, take a pen and draw a line on the paper ring so that the end of the line reaches the beginning of that same line. You will end up drawing the line on the whole surface of the ring.

There is no difference between the inside and the outside of the Mobius ring. This is an example of the creator which created everything from him self. Man perceives reality in a dualistic manner for good and evil. The dualistic perception of reality does not recognize the one force behind existence.

Cutting the Mobius Strip into Two!

Take scissors and cut the Mobius strip in the middle - instead of two rings you will end up with one larger Mobius ring! This shows the idea of duality - when you perceive the One through the duality perception you get the illusion.

Now, cut the strip about 1/3 from the width. You will end up with two rings, a big one and a small one, one inside the other. To understand the meaning of this, let's look at the Hebrew names of God.

Mobius Strip and the Hebrew Names of God

The Jewish tradition prohibits the pronunciation of the name of God. However the names of the Creator (as they appear in the Hebrew old testament) are not names at all but only symbols which lead to truths. The first Hebrew name for God is "EL" which means "into" - a definition of direction without a particular goal (since the creator is everything and everywhere).

The numerological value of the first letter in the word "EL" is 1 and the second letter has the numerological value of 3 which means the one who is three or the holy trinity. When you cut the Mobius strip into 1/3 you get the bigger ring - the macro and the Creator and the smaller ring - the creatures, the living beings.  

Taking the Hebrew word ELOHIM apart you get three words: "EL" (God in a male aspect), "ELA" (God in a female aspect) and "ELIM" meaning gods. Once again we have the holy trinity - male, female and plural.

Even the Hebrew name "Yehova" contains the words "haya" (was in Hebrew), "hove" (is now) and "yeeheeye" (will be) giving us the cycle of timeŠ

When we realize who we truly are, the cosmic joke will reveal it self!

TSUBA - The katana, which is the generic term the West has adopted to refer to most Japanese swords, is undoubtedly an object of functionality.  The samurai who were the only ones allowed to own and to wield this sword obtain only the best katana available, crafted by the best sword-smiths around.  The life of a samurai depends on the quality of his sword.  The steel must not break during battle, or the samurai would have to pay for choosing a blade of low quality with his life.

That is an emphasis on the functionality of the katana.  But since samurai show off their wealth and status with the adornments on their swords, the case for the katana as a work of art is quite strong.  These adornments on the Japanese sword are found in its hilt and handle, as well as on its tsuba.

What is the Tsuba?

The tsuba is the katana's sword guard.  Its function is to keep the sword balanced as it is held in a fight, and to prevent the wielder from slipping his hand across its blade and injuring himself.  In a lot of sword fighting techniques, the tsuba is also used to block an incoming slash from the opponent's sword.

During the medieval period of Japan, particularly the Muromachi and the Momoyama periods, which lasted from the 1300s to the 1600s, the tsuba is designed more for functional rather than for aesthetic purposes.  They are made of hard metal to ensure the sword wielder's survival in a fight in these ages of war in the history of Japan.

By the time of the Edo period, however, the tsuba became ornamental rather than functional on a sword.  This is because the Edo period is a period of peace, when the states under the Japanese empire became united under shogunate rule.  The tsuba is made for ostentatious display when a samurai and his lord appeared at the shogun's court.

The Form of a Tsuba

The tsuba can be of two types.  One type is made of iron and is called tetsu.  The other type is created using softer metals like gold, copper and silver, or alloys.  This other type is called kinko.  Both the tetsu and the kinko tsuba can be adorned with carvings, cutouts or other kinds of décor.

Tsuba can be found in all kinds of shapes, both regular and irregular.  Artists specializing in the crafting of tsuba have license to be as whimsical as they wish on their work.  Nonetheless, the tsuba can be grouped into four general shapes.  These four shapes are:

  • Maru gata.  This is the round tsuba, which is its most common shape.  Some round tsuba can be elliptical or oval rather than perfectly round.  Some mimic the shape of flowers, such as the chrysanthemum.
  • Kaku gata.  The square tsuba, often with rounded corners.  The kaku gata can also be hexagonal or octagonal or even trapezoidal.
  • Shitogi.  The shitogi tsuba looks like the type of rice cake that is offered during Shinto rituals.  Katana with shitogi tsuba are almost always ceremonial swords.
  • Mokko gata.  The mokko gata has four lobes and look like the surface of a cut melon.  There are many sub-types under the mokko gata and all vary their intricate designs.

The Tsuba Today

Since the samurai class is now gone and obsolete in this modern era, tsuba have come to exist separately from the katana as objects of art.  There are art collectors who specialize on the tsuba and there are many schools of tsuba craftsmanship in Japan, with each school using methods that have been handed down for generations.  Some families in Japan who have ancestors in the samurai class often hand down tsuba as heirlooms depicting family mottos, seals and insignias in stylized designs.

SACRED GEOMETRY - The study of sacred geometry has always been a fascinating one, both from a scientific and a spiritual point of view.  There are times when people who have taken to advocating one facet of sacred geometry scoff at the people on the other side of the fence.  Nonetheless, it cannot be denied that the study of sacred geometry, whether for scientific or spiritual purposes, is something that can blow the mind away.

What is Sacred Geometry?

Since there are two ways of looking at sacred geometry, there are also two ways of defining it.  One is finite and academic while the other is spiritual.

Defining sacred geometry in the finite and academic way has a lot to do with studying the mathematics and algorithms to be found in the geometric shapes considered to be sacred and holy.  These shapes are thought to occur naturally and can be seen in some creatures and forces of nature.

On the other hand, the spiritual viewpoint involved in sacred geometry tries to go beyond the mathematical and algorithmic formulas.  They use sacred geometry to find meaning and significance in the pattern of the universe.

One does not have to be a mathematician or a practitioner of geomancy to be able to appreciate sacred geometry.  Sacred geometry exists as an art form, and for the layman who does not want to take any side, it can be appreciated as such...

MOKUME GANE - Combination of Great Beauty and Artist Intention

People have always appreciated beauty and uniqueness in all things.  This appreciation is perhaps most evident in jewelry.  Jewelry has always been a form of self-adornment as well as self-expression.  Humans, with their long history with jewelry, have always treasured whatever piece of jewelry they possess both for their beauty and uniqueness, but most of all, for their value.

There are many ways of crafting jewelry.  Some methods are more modern while others are infused heavily with tradition and the knowledge of which is handed down from generation to generation.  Some methods put a twist in the old ways, and what was old becomes new.  The method of making mokume gane jewelry is just one example of old traditions being fused into new ones.

What is Mokume Gane?

Mokume gane is a Japanese term that literally means "wood eye metal."  It is an old method of metalworking that was invented in the 1600s by master metalworker Denbei Shoami and was used to create adornments on the handles and the hilts of katana, the swords used by the samurai class in medieval Japan.  The samurai class was once the ruling class of Japan in its medieval ages, and even within that class, status and wealth are important.  Such marks of status and wealth can be seen in the adornment of their katana.

The method of adorning metal with the use of mokume gane results in patterns on the metal that mimics burls or grains on wood.  It is a beautiful and unique pattern that somewhat echoes the harmony of nature as embodied in wood, but with the strength and polish of metal.

The samurai class may all be dead in this modern age, and the demand for katana is now limited to collectors and to people who practice martial arts as some sort of hobby.  Nonetheless, the art of metalworking embodied by the mokume gane endures.  It is now used to create fine, unique jewelry and other objects of art.

The Process of Making Mokume Gane

Traditionally, the process of making mokume gane involves the fusion of different sheets of metal alloys.  Modern creators of mokume gane jewelry and art objects have introduced changes to the traditional ways, but nonetheless, the basic process remains the same.

Originally, gold, copper and silver are the metals used in making mokume gane, although today, metals considered to be non-traditional in this form of metalworking are now included as well.  These non-traditional metals include titanium, platinum, iron, nickel and bronze.

Basically, what happens in the process of making mokume gane is that sheets of metal with different colors are layered together in such a way that these sheets would fuse together but not completely melt and meld together.  This fusion is created with controlled heat and pressure.

These fused sheets of metal would result in a solid block of metal with stripes, called a billet.  After the billet has been formed, it is usually hand-cut to produce the desired wood-burl patterns.  Modern technique makes use of computer software to guide the metalworker in carving out the desired patterns.

After the patterns have been cut, the billet is then hammered, forged and rolled to flatten it and to reduce its thickness.  And then, it is shaped to whatever object the metalworker desires it to be, be it for jewelry or any other objet d'art.

The Beauty of Mokume Gane Jewelry

The art of making mokume gane jewelry is derived from an ancient art of adorning swords.  Jewelry made in the mokume gane style nonetheless has a look to it that is contemporary, comparable to pieces made during the art deco era.

God's Word Pendant

God's Word pendant contains the concept for the creation of the universe based upon the Kabala and cosmic consciousness principals. God's Word pendant is in the shape of a hollow sphere or bubble that represents the process used by the Creator to create the consciousness within all his living creatures. The universe was created from the endless void where there was "darkness on the face of the abyss". The void is the Creator himself who has no body, form or definition. The empty sphere is the perfect way to differentiate between inside and out. In this way a point of comparison is created between inside and out, or between the "self" and the "rest".

God's Words Meaning

It must be pointed out that there is no "self" and the "rest", this is an illusion like the pure illusion that we are separate individuals. It is the "peel" (Klipa) that is spoken about in the book of Zohar (the meaning of the Hebrew word Klipa is peel).

There is a ring around the pendant on which the word "Beresheet" (Genesis) is engraved. This word is divided into two parts so that it creates a sentence in ancient Aramaic, "Bara sheet" = created six. This refers to the projection created by the Creator within the empty space to each of the six directions, creating the 3D space.

On one side of God's word pendant there is the Hebrew letter "PE" whose literal translation is mouth through which we speak. The Creator in genesis "speaks" and creates in this way.

On the second side of the pendant, is written the Hebrew word "Vayomer" - "and God said". This represents the Holy spoken words of Genesis.

BERESHIT

If you look closely you can see the Hebrew letter "Beit" within the Hebrew letter "Pe". The Kabala uses the Hebrew writing called "Assyrian". The letter "Pe" in this writing includes the letter "Beit" so that the creator creates within his words the "BERESHEET" (Genesis) and the "Briaa" (Creation). These two words start with the letter "Beit" whose numerical value is 2. Since the creator is in a state of unity as one, he divides the first "cell" into two, and thus begins the process of creation.

TETRACTYS - The Mathematical and Mystical Meanings of the Tetractys

The tetractys is one of the symbols in sacred geometry that is made very interesting by its complex layers of meaning.  It is a design that is very mathematical in structure and yet holds mystical significance among the Pythagoreans and the followers of the Kabbalah. Basically, the tetractys is a triangle composed of ten points rising upward.  Perhaps the best example of the way the tetractys looks like is the way bowling pins are arranged at the end of a bowling lane.

The Pythagorean Meaning of the Tetractys

The Greek philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras, from which we got the Pythagorean Theorem in geometry, once called the tetractys the symbol of the musical, arithmetic and geometric ratios upon which the universe is built.  For Pythagoras and his followers, each line of the tetractys holds these meanings:

* First row.  The first row is made of a single point.  This point is the divine dimension from which everything is created.  Because of the nature of this point, it is usually associated with the virtue of wisdom.

* Second row.  The second row is a line connecting two points and signifies the first dimension.  For the Pythagoreans, the second row represents "Neikos" or Strife.  Strife is the power of division and is often associated with the virtues of movement and impulse.  Movement and impulse, in turn, gives birth to courage and strength.

* Third row.  The third row is a line connecting three points.  It is a representation of the second dimension and of "Philotes" or Harmony.  Harmony is the marriage of physical beauty and mental balance.

Pythagoreans used to swear upon the tetractys in their hopes of attaining purity of mind and harnessing its power.

The Meaning of the Tetractys in the Kabbalah

The Pythagoreans' interpretation of the tetractys is mathematical in nature.  By contrast, its significance to the followers of the ancient Hebrew belief system of the Kabbalah is more mystical.

Just like the Pythagoreans, the followers of the Kabbalah also believe that the tetractys is an illustration of existence, of the way everything is structured in the universe.  However, the followers of the Kabbalah have paralleled the tetractys with the Tree of Life.

In Kabbalah, the ten points of the tetractys represent the ten Sephiroth or the ten faces of God.  The followers of Kabbalah have also linked the tetractys with the Tetragrammaton, which is the manner by which the name of God is spoken (YHWH).

In this way, each of the ten points of the tetractys is substituted with a letter of the Tetragrammaton.  When the numeric value of each letter is added together, it will yield the number 72.  The number 72 is considered holy for the Hebrews and the followers of the Kabbalah, because it signifies the 72 names of God.

Given these two meanings attached with the tetractys, it can be said that wearing a pendant made in the shape of the tetractys signifies the desire of the wearer to seek divine understanding.  It can also be taken to mean that the wearer wants to attain a close relationship with God.

THE SEVEN-FOLD LABYRINTH - The Cosmic Riddle

This labyrinth is an ancient symbol and can be found in many places in the world. Spiritually, this labyrinth symbols the growth and development of men. The seven stages of the labyrinth represent the stages in spiritual development as well as the 7 chakras and energetic centers of our bodies.

What is the Riddle?

The ancient riddle is actually ­ "How to get out of this labyrinth?"

When we take the key to creating the labyrinth and turn it inside out and outside in (see below this paragraph) - we find wholeness. This is the only way to get out of the labyrinth. The square with a perfect circle inside and a dot in the center is the symbol of gold in Alchemy. This symbol is actually the basis for all geometry as it contains all the basic shapes. It also stands for the highest spiritual level a man can achieve.

THE STAR OF DAVID - Jewish Star of David

The "Star of David" is known in Hebrew as Magen David, which literally means the "shield of David," apparently from the popular notion that the Beloved King of Israel wore this symbol on his shields, although there is no evidence that this is true.

The symbol was used in Israel in Roman times, but it seems to have become particularly associated with Judaism only in later centuries.

In the 17th century, it became a popular practice to put the Star of David on the outside of synagogues, to identify them as Jewish houses of worship; however, it is not clear why this symbol was selected for this. Today the Star of David is a universally recognized symbol of Jews. It appears on the flag of the state of Israel, and the Israeli equivalent of the Red Cross is known as the Magen David Adom.

Kabbalah Star of David

In the Kabbalah, the two triangles represent the dichotomies inherent in man: good vs. evil, spiritual vs. physical, etc. The triangle pointing up symbolizes our good deeds, which go up to heaven and activate a flow of goodness back down to the world, symbolized by the triangle pointing down. The Star of David is sometimes known as the Creator's Star, in which each of the six points represents a day of the week and the center corresponds to the Sabbath.

King David Almighty Shields

The name David in ancient Hebrew (during the time of King David) is made up of three letters "Dalet", "Vav" and "Dalet". The letter Dalet in ancient Hebrew is actually a triangle. King David used the six pointed star as his signature (the two triangles of his name). The middle letter "Vav" means six - The six pointed star. The six-points symbolize that God rules over the universe and protects us from all six directions: North, South, East, West, Up and Down. King David used this symbol in the battlefield on his shield as an omen from God.

Star of David and the Merkaba

We have a Prana field that surrounds our body as a result of the meridians and the Prana flow. Then there is the field of the aura. The auric field is an egg shaped energy field that surrounds our body and changes its color according to our thoughts, feelings and emotions. After the auric field we have hundreds of electromagnetic fields. These fields have precise geometrical shapes. Each one is made up of three identical fields with the same size and shape. The Prana fields is the star tetrahedron, a three dimensional Star of David. A person is able to rotate two of the three star tetrahedron fields in opposite directions by using the ancient Prana breathing technique, thus creating a huge 17 meter energy field - our light body - the Merkaba.

Star of David and the Age of Aquarius

The Age of Aquarius was officially declared on January 23 1997 at 17:35 GMT. When drawing a map by Jerusalem cast for that specific time, we receive a perfectly aligned Star of David! What does it mean? No one can really tell, but it is certainly amazing!

I CHING - The power of Knowledge - Understanding of the Human Place in the Universe

I  Ching is the oldest Chinese classic text and it is also called 'the book of changes 'or 'classic of changes' This text basically speaks about cosmology which is based upon ancient Chinese traditions or customs. Let us first know the meaning of the title of I CHING which is also called Yi Jing. 'Yi' as an adjective means 'easy and simple and as a verb it means 'to change' or to substitute one thing for another. 'Jing' here means classic text which says that things are not going to change with passage of time. I CHING combines three meanings. They are ease, simplicity, variability and persistency. In modern East Asia and the Western world, the I Ching is regarded as a symbol of divination.  The text of I Ching is represented by a set of 64 abstract line arrangements called hexagrams.

History of the I Ching

If we consider it from the historical point of view, it has two approaches traditional view and modernist view. I Ching helps us to make decisions, predicting the future and it is also a source of wisdom and inspiration for generations. In the traditional view I Ching was an early Chinese legendary ruler who ruled China between the traditional dates of 2800 BCE-2737 BCE. It is believed that he was bestowed with the 8 triagrams (an auspicious symbol of transformation) supernaturally.  The 8 triagrams were supposedly transformed into 64 hexagrams by the time another legendary ruler started ruling China between 2194 BCE­2149 BCE. The 64 hexagrams were recorded in the scripture Lian Shan. The traditional history goes on till 722 BCE - 481 BCE when the Great Chinese philosopher Confucius wrote the Shi Yi, which is a group of ideas on the I Ching.

Modern Society and the I Ching

What started in China many thousand years ago, has reached the doors of modern society. Like many other ancient traditional cosmic sciences I Ching has also been adopted in America and the Western world. Modern day practitioners have learnt the science and put it into practice to heal many problems faced by the modern society. The modernist history of I Ching has been evolving in the last 50 years. Researchers have tried to find out about this science from the research into the Shang and Zhou dynasty and the Zhou bronze inscriptions. When the Western world understood about the benefits of I Ching they started practicing in the same way as Tarot and other similar sciences are practiced. Jewelry based on I Ching has also been created and many designers are working with I Ching practitioners. The modern theory of I Ching has been developed since the discovery of the Han dynasty tombs in Hunan province of China. These findings have helped researchers to get a better view of I Ching.

Sacred Geometry: Deciphering the Code by Stephen Skinner - Editorial Review - From Booklist - Skinner, credited with introducing feng shui to the West, continues his search for the underlying order of the world with this beautifully illustrated examination of the notion that some geometries reveal hidden truths about the way the universe operates. Sacred Geometry: Philosophy and Practice (Art and Imagination) by Robert Lawlor - Beautifully illustrated, well designed, valuable - Lawlor's book has been in my library since 1990. Excellent general presentation on the arts of sacred geometry and mandala. I've read it dozens of times, often for looking for analytical knowledge but sometimes just enjoying the soothing flow of beautiful illustration. Much insight is skillfully enclosed in this slender volume. Highly recommended!

Looking at it with a mathematician's eye, an interesting relationship appears: the ratio between the whole line and the larger of the pieces it was broken into is the same as the ratio of the larger piece and smaller piece. Better known as "the golden ratio" or phi, 1.618- is a number that has fascinated humans for several hundred years, and people have claimed evidence of phi in all manner of things. Livio takes readers on a treasure hunt for phi from ancient times through the present. On the way, he debunks a number of popular myths (e.g., the notion that Mondrian used it in his abstract paintings) and does a wonderful job explaining the Fibonacci sequence and its relationship to phi. Small, black-and-white photos and reproductions demonstrate items mentioned in the text. While it may seem that the author wanders in his expositions, his excursions into history and number games add fun and depth for those who wish to follow. Kabbalah is known to be a secret wisdom. It is precisely this secrecy surrounding Kabbalah that gave rise to numerous legends, falsifications, gossip, ignorant arguments and wrong conclusions. Only at the end of the 20th century was the wisdom of Kabbalah allowed to be revealed to all and even circulated around the world. Therefore, addressing the reader at the beginning of this book, I feel obliged to tear age-old layers off this ancient wisdom that is common to all mankind.

The wisdom of Kabbalah has nothing to do with religion, meaning it is no more related to it than physics, chemistry or mathematics. It is not a religion and this becomes obvious from the fact that religious people know nothing about it and do not understand a word in it.

The most profound knowledge about the laws of the Universe, the method of apprehending the world, the achievement of the Purpose of Creation was originally kept away from the religious masses in the first place. Kabbalah was waiting for the time when mankind matured sufficiently to accept this wisdom and to use it correctly.

Kabbalah allows man to control his destiny; it is the knowledge that was passed to all peoples of the world. It deals with the realm hidden from our five senses. It operates only with spiritual notions, meaning with things that happen above the material level, beyond our perception in the upper world.

Kabbalah describes the upper world by using the language of metaphor or the scientific language.

The metaphorical description: Kabbalah borrows the names of spiritual objects, forces and actions from the language of our world. This is necessary, because we have no words at our disposal that can describe unearthly phenomena. But since a certain force descends from each object in the upper world to form a corresponding object in ours, a Kabbalist living in both worlds sees this connection and describes the spiritual reality by using the names of our world.

However, Kabbalists' descriptions seem like accounts of earthly actions to those who have not yet attained the spiritual realm. Kabbalah speaks exclusively of what happens in the upper world. The use of familiar words and definitions leads to false conceptions and erroneous conclusions. Hence, Kabbalah forbids imagining a connection between the names of our world and their spiritual roots. This is considered the grossest error in Kabbalah. That is why it was forbidden for so many years up to this time: man's development was insufficient, we imagined all sorts of demons and angels where something totally different is meant.
