I was commissioned to paint a picture of the Greek God, Mercuy, which was a COMPLETE failure/disaster. I painted over that image with this living landscape which I feel communicates the warmth and brilliance of true love.

To create this small, very detailed painting, I used a vacation photo as a guide. It is almost an exact copy of the original photograph prying deep into Arizona's famous Grand Canyon.

This large seascape was an experiment with color, depth and other image effects to give it a "phototelescopic" look. I try to capture the mood of evening sunlight reflecting off water and refracting through spray and mist.

One of my first commissions, created when I was 19. It was for an "old-time mariner" neighbor (now deceased) who was very attached to sailboats and sailing ships.
